Visit
Keswick, home of the first pencil and the Cumberland
Pencil Museum. Walk through a replica of the
Seathwaite mine, where graphite was first discovered.
Trace the history of pencil manufacture over the last
350 years and see how we make Derwent Fine Art pencils
today. Be amazed by the worlds longest pencil,
over 25 feet and try some of our products. Events
and exhibitions are held in the museum throughout the
year.
Directions:
The Museum
is just as you leave the town centre, on the north side
of town. |
