Killhope is an award winning, Family Friendly, 'Quality Assured Visitor Attraction' where visitors discover the lives of Lead Mining families. Park Level mine is a real adventure. Equipped with hardhat, lamp and wellies you are guided down the original tunnel. On the surface, work as a washer boy and find your own lead ore. See the North of England's largest working water wheel. Quiet Woodland Walks, Exhibitions, Shop and Cafe enhance you memorable day out.
Directions: Situated between Stanhope and Alston on the A689, the heart of the North Pennines ANOB.

An amazing recreation of an 18th Century seaport. This attraction is a great day out for all ages and really brings to life this fascinating time in British history. Featuring the oldest warship afloat in Europe, HMS Trincomalee. Costumed guides add to the experience and there are regular musketry, cannon and sword fighting displays. Available to hire for family celebrations, weddings, business meetings and pirate parties.

Mini Moos Farm is a Farm Visitor Centre with unique miniature animals.  50,000 square feet of indoor play area means that even if it rains, the fun doesn’t stop. With live animal shows throughout the day, you’ll find plenty to do until the rain goes. Located next to the play area, with views out over the farm, our cafe is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.  Open 10am until  5pm every day of the week.
